Segway IoT bluetooth?

Postby benjam Sat Feb 15, 2020 12:20 am

Hello!

I've been finding that rental e scooters with the default Segway IoT device show up as "Segway IoT" on the nRF UART 2.0 android app and other apps based on it like ESdownG and M365 downG. I've connected over nRF UART 2.0 but when I try send any commands I get no response. Maybe you somehow need to use a key? Segway API documentation here https://us-api.segway.pt/doc/index.html ... uetoothKey says that the bluetooth key for all IoT devices are by default the same so that might be interesting?

I've been looking at documentation here (https://eu-api.segway.pt/doc/extra/Gate ... 20V1.1.pdf) on page 33 and the default key is 4BKNwi77 . The question is how to use it?

The documentation you are looking at is the http api to connect to the IoT device using ninebots IoT hub/service. So that won't help you much. There is some open source project. Might be a better way to look into it.

I too am curious if this module could be flashed back to OEM status (using st-link?) then become usable if I put my own SIM card in it. Do you happen to have any updates on your findings?
