Auctioned Bird ES4 Flashing Brake Lights

Hello,

I bought an auctioned Bird ES4 and replaced the dash. After powering on, the under lights flash and then the brake light pulses once a second. After about 30 pulses, it shuts itself off. I am unable to use ESdownG to connect and check firmware. It says it connects but I can never pull information. Any ideas?
