Changing the scooter name after CFW Install

Postby graczu Wed Jun 17, 2020 3:06 pm

I have installed CFW on my ES1 thru dashboard with stlink and ES_downG app to 1.3.9 from "https://esx.scooterhacking.org/". Everything is working, but i can't change the scooter name thru Ninebot App, when i changing name, app confirming it, dashboard restarting, but after all the default name is set. I disconnected the dashboard, reconnected and old name is everytime.

And how i can lock changeing firmware on CFW, to disallow any other person to change my firmware thru BT?

So i figure out how to change name, you need to HEX edit the dashdump and change the scooter name in file. After all you need to flash it by STlink-V2, and then flash by es_down or ninebot flasher CFW.

I can't find element from C15 so i can't test blocking the firmware update.

Hi, I recently tried to change the Bluetooth name after installing it, but I couldn't connect to Bluetooth with anything except the DownG app. I tried to restore the factory settings using that app, and the entire system crashed. I reflashed it using ST-Link and now I'm waiting for a miracle. How can I change the name?
