Tutorial!!! SNSC 2.3 Aka Ninebot Max Plus conversion

I am seeing that some people bypass the BMS on the negative side while other people bypass on the positive side. I've been trying to find an answer to which would be better or if there is a difference. Also, how are people running 84 volts? I'm running a stock battery in series with a DIY 12 volt battery. I've seen something about adding a capacitor in parallel on the speed controller PCB so it doesn't blow the first cap. Is this all thats needed? I've converted 5 scooters and since moved on to EUCs but if I could make my current fleet faster, well that'd be a good time.
