please help, I think I bricked it

Postby R_i_c_K Sun Sep 13, 2020 8:21 am

I have the KS Max, I used the toolkit to make custom firmware and used ninebot-flasher on my windows 10 pc to flash the scooter. Now it only turns on for a split second then turns off, if I hold the button down it displays a red 19. Is there any way of fixing this ?? I'm stressing out, I've only owned the thing for 4 days :(

Do you happen to have another dash you can use? Perhaps a dash from a Ninebot ES4?
Also, was your Max a retail version, or a rental conversion?

No I don't have access to another dash. Its retail version.
Do you think viewtopic.php?f=26&t=213 would help?

It's definitely worth a shot. Hopefully you're comfortable soldering and can patiently follow the directions. Many other noobs create more problems because they impatiently try doing this stuff.

If you already have your ST-Link (with Win10 and drivers properly installed) then, I suggest you take a crack at it. Otherwise, you might look into buying another dash and/or ESC from ebay or AliExpress..

Good Luck Friend!

I literally just solved this 30 minutes ago!!

Super easy.

Power on your Max, and don't let go of the power button.

The unit will stay on as long as you keep holding the button, and you are now free to pair to a bt app and re-flash the correct software.

Good luck!

What flashing software did you use? When I use NinebotFlasher on windows im able to connect the scooter but I can’t press any buttons in the software for some reason..
